Huckletree in superlatives

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is Pauline speaking. On behalf of the COWORKIES team, welcome on board this LDNDAY2 flight direction “Interior design paradise: Huckletree”. Please fasten your seat-belts, and enjoy your journey with us.

OK, I will stop playing the air hostess game and come back down to earth. Let’s enter the day #2 of our second visit to London. We started the day at Huckletree, in Shoreditch and I prefer to warn you right here, the following lines will contains a lot of superlatives.

We have been traveling around 40+ coworking spaces now and we are always amazed by the difference of each one. Even though on paper you could think they are all competitors, the more we tour around them the more I start to disagree with that. Each space has its own soul, its own vibe and it’s own story. And Huckletree is a perfect illustration of that. We learned about Huckletree via Rebecca, a COWORKIES fan who recommended us the space. She introduced us to Zak, the community manager and Martina, the Marketing Lead of Huckletree Shoreditch.

Both of them came to pick us up at the welcoming desk and we started by doing a tour of the space. And seriously: it’s AMAZING! The interior design is beautifully made and beautifully thought. Each corner of the space has its own little magical thing that will make you feel at home. Its area is quite huge and divided on 2 floors.

You have few coworking areas: one for the flex desks and one for the fix ones and the team offices. All of them are SO spacious and neat, I am impressed! Zak, the community manager told us they are almost full. You still have a chance to get a desk:)

If you are not sure if you belong to Huckletree, no stress, they thought about it! You can have a trial day which will cost you a tweet. No kidding.

Get inspired by the fresh smell of coffee, or just find peace and quiet time in the library, you will find everything you need there!

I personally LOVED the library. It would definitely be my secret spot if I was working out there. The ambiance and interior design are very cosy, there is even a fireplace!

The space also offers many meeting rooms, each more beautiful than the other one. Each room is of different size, and one special SUPER big and SUPER white (reminiscing Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey):

The feeling you have inside, is very different than the one you can have by seeing the picture here. I REALLY felt like walking around a Pinterest board!

There is a very cool Event Space, all made with wood and neon colors. Check out the open events at Huckletree and make sure to pay them a visit!

After our magnificent tour, we sat down in some very comfy couches to talk about COWORKIES. Zak and Martina gave us their insights about community building, how they manage their members and how COWORKIES could help their community to connect to a wider network of like-minded people. It was a super nice exchange of ideas and a good morning brainstorming session for us too! Both of them offered us their support and we can’t wait to collaborate with them!

Before I end this blog-post, I wanted to share with you few “cherries on the cake” I saw there:

  • Please have a look at this video: Huckletree is a bike-friendly coworking space, and they own the MOST amazing bike garage I have even seen in my entire life

A video posted by Huckletree (@huckletree) on

  • They also have a Wall garden that I loved! Zak is watering it every other day, I was lucky to have a live demo 🙂
  • Huckletree has a sister in London, in the area of Clerkenwell. So if Shoreditch is not your area, make sure to check the other one 🙂
  • There is a small terrace where you can enjoy the sun while working.

We did a selfie in my favorite spot aka the library, check it out:

Martina was SO KIND she spoiled us with lovely Huckletree tote bags filled with a notebook (that I am currently using), a t shirt and some nice goodies. #spoiledkids

Guys, I am still speechless! I am so happy we met you 🙂

I can’t wait to see you again here in Berlin or in London!
