Have you met the Transformers of Barcelona?

The beauty of travelling from city to city is that we always get surprised (in a good way) by the variety of spaces we are able to meet. And the space I am going to talk about now is definitely special!

After BCN575, we walked down to Transforma BCN to meet Maria, the Community Manager there. From outside, you can’t really guess how big is this space.

The moment you enter the door, it feels like a hive, full of good energy and people who want to transform things in  many ways. Because that’s what transforma is all about: transform things your way.

You can transform a website, by being a great web developer or a great graphic designer, you can transform the coworking world by being a great startup (#selfpromotion) AND you can also manually transform things by accessing the small atelier downstairs. And this is what I loved, the feeling of being able to transform anything into what something you consider great by being surrounded by a community of extremely talented people in their field that can share their expertise and knowledge with you.

And this is exactly what we talked about with Maria. She welcomed us and gave us a tour of the space, which is a 2 floor labyrinth 🙂 The overall design is awesomely raw,  which gives so much charm to the space. Some of furniture is made out of recycled materials and there is even a very tiny garden where plants are slowly but surely enjoying the sun.

It did not take us long to feel the strong community feeling, everyone greeted us and we saw many people chatting or sharing lunch together.

We sat down with Maria and we spoke about COWORKIES and how similar our goals are. Hers, to bring her community together and keep this good sharing is caring energy and for us, to bring together the community of coworking people locally and globally to foster more collaboration between them.

So, yes, I got transformed myself after visiting Maria and Transforma BCN. Transformed by this meeting who gave me even more energy and envy to make COWORKIES good for you, for any coworkers.

Maria, we can’t thank you enough for having us and we can’t wait to have you on board of COWORKIES!

Selfie Cheers (yes, we are still sunburned)!
