Coworking and Coliving with The Collective

It’s time now to close our London Coworking Tour #2.

The last place we visited is among the first coliving / coworking spaces we saw. Ladies and Gents, follow us throughout: the Collective!

The location of the space is really awesome! It has a direct view on Bedford Square park. From the outside, it looks like a typical and beautiful British house. I was super curious to see how the inside looks like.

Alex, the Managing Director of the space welcomed us inside. We sat down with him and started immediately to chat about The Collective. And it’s a massive undertaking that starter just like a regular startup! The collective has several spaces around the city now (and some under construction coming soon) where they offer their members the ability to work and live inside the building.

Considering London’s pricing when it comes to rent, this is a great opportunity to live in a central area and live with a community of like-minded people. And this is actually how it all started. The Founder of The Collective saw, while being a student back in 2010, how difficult it was for him to find an affordable room downtown. He decided to change that by bringing up The Collective.

We chatted about COWORKIES too and told Alex about how we plan to connect people between coworking and co-living spaces to allow them to own a relevant and global network of like-minded people. We also chatted about coworking in general and how fast the market has evolve. Words like coworking or remote work barely existed 10 years ago. And if you look now how the future of work is shaping, it contains the community aspect in its core.

After our chat, Alex showed us around. The space has several floors, offering private offices, meetings rooms and communal areas. The interior design is very chic and very modern. Every detail from the wall paint used to the decorative vases, are really beautiful and in perfect combo!

Downstairs, you can find the coworking area which becomes the afterwork / events venue at night. It’s very bright and you have direct access to a small terrace too.

Last and least, there is an awesome chill out zone upstairs with a big terrace and a hut!

I really love how bright and cosy the space is there! As Alex said you don’t find this very much in central London:)

While doing the tour, we asked Alex about his community. The Collective brings together entrepreneurs, freelancers and startups. The space connects them to a network of relevant mentors who can help them to scale and grow.

If you are interested to follow The Collective, visit their website and get updates on the new co-living and coworking space which will open soon and looks amazing:

We ended our tour with a Selfie with Alex, next to a typical London object: the red cabins!

The Collective and Coworkies selfieAlex, thanks for having us there! We are amazed by The Collective and we can’t wait to see the new spaces opening! See you very soon on
